Try your hand at the Vortex tunnel, where illusion takes precedence over reality. See if you can take a step forward by walking on a stable and flat surface, while your brain tells you something completely different.

If you have become accustomed to your reflection in the home mirror, you should see how you look in an optically transformed reality.

And who among you remembers the kaleidoscope? In the Museum of Illusions, instead of colored papers or glass, you will see a kaleidoscope created by your reflections.

You can also test your perceptiveness through stereogram installations. Try to find hidden objects and characters in patterned 3D installations.

The museum is home to the largest exhibition of holograms in this part of Europe. You will see images appear and disappear before your eyes. Just be careful, because it can be scary 😉

When you get a bit tired of visiting the museum, sit down on the Chair of Illusion and take this unique photo. Can we count on you to share this memory with us?

Let us know if you managed to find Shakespeare's blank face and how many faces you think are hidden in the Rubin Vase. Maybe an infinite number, like in the infinity mirror room? You have to see for yourself.

But the museum also houses a unique room called a fitness center for your brain. There you will find puzzles, games that stimulate cognitive abilities, wooden puzzles, Dilemma games and many other things that entertain and teach at the same time.

Finally, you can buy games, educational toys, optical illusions, T-shirts and more in the museum gift shop.

All exhibits and puzzles are described in three languages: Croatian, German and English.

The length of your stay in the museum depends on your individual preferences. Some spend just 20 minutes there, others over an hour. The most satisfied customers are children of several years of age. Funny photos that you can take in the museum are an interesting souvenir. A head on a plate, a tiny parent sitting on a chair, people standing on the wall will make every visitor laugh.

You should decide for yourself whether it is worth going to the museum. If you expect a few hours of adventure and large spaces, it may be better to spend this time and money differently. If, on the other hand, you want to take a break from the heat, play with your children, without any specific requirements, just thinking about having a nice time, it is worth risking a visit to this place.

In the high summer season, you have to expect more traffic and queues for tickets. However, tickets can be booked via the museum's website.

The museum is open 7 days a week:

  • from 10:00 to 16:00 (from 1 November to 31 March),
  • from 10:00 to 20:00 (from 1 April to 31 May),
  • from 09:00 to 22:00 (from 1 June to 30 September),
  • from 10:00 to 20:00 (from 1 October to 31 October)

Ticket prices:

  • Adults - 13 EUR
  • Children aged 5-15 - 10 EUR
  • Children under 5 - free
  • Family ticket (2+2) - 37 EUR

The museum is located in the part of the Zadar Old Town at Poljana Zemaljskog Odbora 2.

We would be happy if you could share your opinion about your visit to this place with us or send us your extraordinary photos taken in museum installations.

We wish everyone who decides to go on an adventure in the museum a lot of fun!
