Sights, Natural Wonders & Attractions

Krka National Park is one of Croatia’s most famous natural attractions. The beautiful and crystal-clear Krka River, in its upper course, carves a narrow and impressive canyon. As it approaches its mouth, it creates spectacular waterfalls, cascades, lakes, and backwaters.

During the tour, we will explore the area around Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall on the Krka River. Stretching over 800 meters, it consists of more than 17 cascades, where water drops a total height of 45.7 meters. The waterfall is 200 to 400 meters wide and features walking paths and scenic viewpoints along its banks.

Walking along wooden pathways above the emerald and turquoise waters, visitors can admire travertine barriers—a natural phenomenon typical of the Dinaric karst. In these areas, calm water transforms into dynamic cascades, creating a fine mist that can shimmer in rainbow colors on sunny days.

During the walk, you may spot fish such as Squalius illyricus and trout swimming below, as well as frogs, snakes, and various bird species.

We will also visit a traditional ethno village with stone houses, old mills, a forge, and a weaving workshop, where you can see how flour and textiles were once produced, along with regional traditional clothing.

Another highlight is the remains of one of the first hydroelectric power plants in the world, opened in 1895, which supplied electricity to the city of Šibenik long before many major world cities.

Finally, we will take a short boat cruise through the canyon to the charming town of Skradin, which is the last but equally delightful part of the program.
